Plan check: how Claude's usage limits work

Many freelancers ask how much they can actually do on a $20 plan. Claude’s pages describe a rolling five-hour window plus a weekly limit. Anthropic says Pro gives at least five times the use per five-hour session of the Free plan, and how fast you hit the limit depends on the model, the chat length and the file size. If you hit it, you can wait for the reset. For ChatGPT Plus, OpenAI says limits are higher than Free but does not publish exact caps. Neither company gives a simple message count, so plan heavy jobs around it.
