This page explains, in plain words, what AI Home Club collects when you use the site, why, and what choices you have. We try to keep it short and honest. If something here is unclear, tell us through our Contact page.

Who we are

AI Home Club is a small independent site that compares AI tools for freelancers. When this page says “we” or “us”, it means the people who run AI Home Club.

What we collect

We try to collect as little as we can.

Comments and ratings (planned, not live yet)

The site does not have comments or ratings yet, so nothing is collected through them. We plan to add them later. When we do, we will update this page before they go live, and say exactly what is stored. The plan is to keep it small:

the name you type in (it does not have to be your real name),
your rating,
your comment text,
the page you commented on.

Your name, rating and comment would be shown publicly on that page, so please don’t put private details (like your email, phone number or client names) in a comment.

“Ask the sofa” (planned, not live yet)

“Ask the sofa” will be a simple way to ask questions about AI tools. It is not open yet: the Ask page only explains what is coming, there is no chat box, and nothing is collected through it. Before it opens, we will update this page to say what is stored, for how long, and whether an outside AI provider is used to answer. We expect to limit it to a small number of questions per visit (we plan 8).

When it opens, please don’t type private or sensitive information into it, like passwords, client data or health details.

Cookies and ads

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others are used for ads.

We plan to show ads from Google AdSense to help pay for the site. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads. These cookies can be used to show you ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. They can also be used to measure ads and to fight fraud.

When a site uses Google ad services, your browser sends some information to Google, such as the page you are visiting and your IP address. Google explains this here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

We do not control the cookies Google sets, and we don’t see the information Google collects.

If you are in the EU, the UK or similar regions

Before any ad cookies are used, you will see a consent message. You can say yes or no to ad cookies. If you say no, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised to you. You can change your mind later.

Turning off personalised ads

Wherever you are, you can:

turn off personalised ads from Google in your Google Ad Settings,
block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

If you turn off personalised ads, you will still see ads. They just won’t be based on your interests.

Your data rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to fix it, or to delete it. To ask, use our Contact page.

No affiliate links

We don’t use affiliate links. When we link to a tool, we don’t earn money if you click or buy. Ads (once they are live) are the only way the site makes money.

Children

AI Home Club is written for adult freelancers. It is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. In some countries, including some EU countries and the UK, the age at which a young person can agree to this kind of data use is higher (up to 16). If you are under that age, please don’t post comments or use the chat once they open. If you think a child has shared personal information here, contact us and we will remove it.

Removing a comment

Comments are not live yet. Once they are, if you want a comment removed, send us a message through the Contact page and include:

the page where the comment appears (a link is best),
the name you used on the comment,
the comment text (or the first few words).

This helps us find the right comment. We will remove it as soon as we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the site changes, for example when ads go live or when we add a new feature. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top.
